Two short storiesAugust 26, 2011 | 8:01 pm | Journal: short stories | 0 comment
Working on two short stories: one for InTheSnake.com magazine, one for a contest on MyWritersCircle.com. I’m not sure which one I will finish first, but I hope I get done with the contest one soon, as it expires on September 1st.
I’m also getting on with my reading list. I’ve read – and finished reading – 8 books this month. Not bad. I might be reading a few more in September, hopefully.
Two months to NaNoWriMo 2011. I can hardly wait!
Cellphones for my storiesJuly 29, 2011 | 9:01 pm | Journal: guest writers | 0 comment
This post brought to you by Straight Talk. All opinions are 100% mine.
While my muse is working slowly on my several storylines, I’m thinking of adding something like Straight Talk into my stories – science fiction of course. To keep it short, Straight Line is a cell phone and plans provider that offers competitive prices for unlimited minutes and great phone. What I heard is that its hook, line and sinker make it easy to call a friend and to do pretty much everything you need.
I’m pretty sure it’s a great way cut cellphone bills and to call for for unlimited minutes, which only costs $45/month, and to make 411 calls that cost nothing. There are also no fees for re/activation or termination of service. It sounds good! Actually, I think I will have something like this in one of my sci-fi stories, especially those set nowadays or in the very near future.
I want to submit a short story to the InTheSnake.com magazine soon, you know. And it’s all sci-fi, hehe. I want to write something original, in-depth, nice to read, catching and enchanting at the same time. Delicate but strong a story. Very much searching into human heart and mind. Oh, I’m in love with that kind of introspection.
Do you have a theme/style preference in a sci-fi- story?

My muse is still having a hard time coming back, but I have more time on my hands now. At least, I can put more effort into it, because I have the time to think.
I joined MyWritersCircle.com today. It’s a forum for writers of any kind, loyal to any genre, both newbies and veterans. I feel homey already.
I look forward to read people’s pieces and leave reviews through the whole week. Perhaps my muse will get the inspiration it needs to come back.
